Would a bad EA module cause the ETA not to work?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hello again folks! As you can correctly assume, I'm still having troubles with my E420. Had a rebuilt ETA installed, which is silent when the ignition is turned on. The shop thinks that I need an ASR module, a member (who has quite a bit of knowledge with this confounded system) suspects the EA module. Either one is pricey, and about as easily found as Hen's teeth. So.... Can a bad EA module cause the ETA not to work? -or- should I be taking a closer look at the ASR module -or- should I send the ETA back and ask for another one*? *this assumes that neither EA nor the ASR module would cause the ETA to remain silent. thanks for your thoughts, -Larry __________________
