Euro 123 wagon photo request...
Hey, I need someone to post a picture or explain how the reverse/fog assemblies are mounted to a euro wagon rear bumper. The one on mine is missing the units and we might convert the new wagon to euro bumpers, but it looks to me the mounting holes are different.
Do they use the same housings as the US spec models and some type of adapter to mount to the holes on each side of the opening in the bumper or.... ???? |
Yours has two backup lights.
On Euro models, there is one backup light and one rear foglight in the same locations. Just a red lens and different wiring. Fog light is on side of car toward center of road, i.e. on left in left-hand-drive countries. |
Sorry let me clarify a bit, I already understand how the reverse-fog light assignment works. On a US spec bumper the reverse assemblies have a bolt in the center that lets you mount it in the according hole in the bumper. The euro bumper is different, there is no hole in the center for the housing to mount to. There are only two holes, one on each side of the opening on the bottommost side of the bumper, at least on my euro wagon there is. I don't know if there were other versions or not.
To me it seems like some type of adapter bracket is needed to make the larger housings fit accordingly to the bumper. Thats what I've trying to find out, since my wagon was missing both housings when I bought it. |
general note, euro and US rev lights and rear fog lights are different sizes and the lenses will not interchange.

a-ha! thats what I needed to know! Any chance you might know part numbers for what I'm missing? Our parts guys don't have a clue how to look up stuff for euro spec vehicles.
