94 c280 brake question...
Hi All,
Can someone please let me know what the ROTOR and BRAKE PAD wear limits are for both Front and Rear.... Thanks, |
Is it....
stamped on the rotor? I'm guessing 22mm? Please someone respond....
|
I could look it up, but if you want to ride both to the limit then you should probably make an investment in the manuals. Otherwise, replace the pads before the wear sensor breaks through and replace the rotors at least once before your car gets to 120K miles.

The min thickness for the rotors, I don't know off the top of my head, but as you said it will be stamped somewhere on the rotor itself (and probably covered in some brake dust).
The wear limit for the pads is 2mm for both the front and rear. |
Rotor thickness
Thanks very much for the responses... I'll check them Asap...

94 C280 pad thickness... FYI...
Front limit is 19.4mm
Rear limit is 7.3mm |
I doubt that the rear rotor minimum thickness is 7.3mm ... maybe 17.3mm.

The rear rotors are non-vented, i.e. solid rotors & are less than 11 mm thick when new.;) |
nice to see you Manny!
Yes, I did front rotors and pads last weekend 150k on orig fronts rotors, 90k on pads. Lots of hwy miles 120k-150k, replace frt rotors. Pagid pads are awesome. Brake dust means stopping power :D |
