Gas light flashing with full tank

Hi,
Is there a sensor or relay contolling the gas light in the cluster? Mine flashes sporadically even with the gas tank being full or no where close to being emptly. I checked the gas cap and made sure it is tight. (97 S600).

You have a vacuum leak...

in the evaporative emissions system. A very common cause is a gas filler cap that is not fitting properly. This system recovers the vapors in the gas tank and sucks them into the engine to be burned.
