Spark Plug / Spark Plug Wires Question
morning everyone,
i was thinking this morning...the new bosch plugs are of the resistor type correct? the HR9DC (..which from what ******** says has been superceeded by the 7578 (bosch part #) which is the "latest enhanced yttrium version of the HR9DC plugs.." I was wondering if these new plugs are resistor type...the wires (now im not sure if they have been superceeded yet...shouldnt they be non-resistor wires? On ******** they are listed as 09146 (same as the bosch part #)... So new resistor plugs? are these 09146 wire non-resistor? Reason im asking is the plugs (non-resistor) in my 190E are good but the wires are shot..i can see the sparks at the boot which im quite sure (even thou i am new to gas engines...) is not good... if i bought these 09146 wires are they what i need to go with my NR plugs? or is there another set of wires out there for my plugs? thanks kris |
use a set of wires from the aftermarket that have beru ends or buy a complete set of beru wires[which you won't find at the dealer].

I agree on the Beru wires..it's all I deal in.
As for non resistor wires, the OE/OEM manufactures no not make them for our cars. You could in theory make your own, but even if you take out the 1kohm resistance in the wire the resistor plugs will still have you over the recommended level. Jonathan |
