w126 brake question

hello everyone,

i have a question about the brakes on my w126...i havent really driven the car a whole lot and i've just noticed this a few weeks back..when ever i push hard on the brakes the car tends to pull to the left..as if the left brake was "stronger" than the right...now i did have the left caliper replaced about a year and 6 months ago...

is this behavior normal in new/old caliper configuration like i have or..is somthing else suspect..

thanks

If it's pulling to the left side it means you have a problem with the right caliper NOT the left one. I'd first check the right caliper for an oil leak. (It could be a bad hose).

If you are going to replace the whole caliper, always replace them as a pair. :)

the problem also can be the right rear caliper.

Calipers should always be replaced in pair's for this reason.

I don't know if a Mercedes will react the same but my dad had a first version Mazda 626 that would turn when braking if a rear tire was low.

leaking or stuck caliper or hose/line on the other side

4 calipers and master new 1500+
same rebuilt on line 500+
local pick & pull yard $54.00:cool:
if you do that look for newer parts with even ware on the pads
and a complete working set so you can test them before pulling them

swap out the brake fluid once a year EVERY YEAR
it traps water and water=RUST
