Here are a few pics' from my trip. The first one is from the AMG facility in Affalterbach. From the looks of it, I think the 204 C-Class is going to be a big hit in the U.S. I guess we'll know soon enough.

The rest were taken at the Fuel Cell Development Center in Kirchheim. As far as the MB part of the trip, this was the most interesting, at least for me.

Here are some more. I took these at the DC museum in Untertuerkheim. I had to include the 123 wagon, but the others are much less common! The pic' between the Unimog and the hearse is hilarious. Before the days of wireless laptops, the "chase" car was fitted with all the electronic monitoring equipment and was hard-wired to the test car. Can you imagine what that must've been like?

Phenomenal pictures!! Thanks for them.

Do you know the meaning of the Horseshoe that's on the grille of the W123 wagon? I have seen pictures of them on different Mercedes in Germany, all the way back to the L3500 trucks in WWII and always wondered? For good luck?

The W140 car has 5-series California license plates on it. How did that come to be?

The W115 hearse is striking, I would love to have one of those.
I'd put a vanity license plate on it that said 4 U 1 DAY or R U NEXT, a chrome plated hangmans noose in the back window, and maybe build some subs and put them in a coffin in there.

The F1 Doctor's car is really cool. Was there an F1 Safety car there too?

Terrific glimpses of what is to come. It looks like Mercedes is as serious about fuel cells as BMW is about Hydrogen cars.
