i just read a short article in a malaysian car magazine about adding 1/4 cup of pure acetone to 10 gallons of gas and getting approx a 25% increase in milage. the (pure) acetone is supposed to vaporize the gas more efficiently. i won't even consider trying this with my car, but do you guys think there is any credibilty to this claim?

I don't think that a pure acetone is available in the market.
