Hey Guys,

Just ordered some stuff to fix the 94 c220. As you can see in this picture, the new one is on the top, the old one on the bottom. The old one has a plastic piece in the middle, the new one does not. There is no way I can see of removing the old one either. Any help is appreciated

are the part numbers the same? what that little piece does is so when the key is off the elecrtical plug cannot be removed, it will likely work, but does appear broken

yea it is the same part number. I could care less about the anti theft feature if it works

well that is all the plastic tab does, just hope that it wasn't installed previously, and was broken during dissasembly, it could have internal issues.

all the new ones come like that don't worry just install it.it used to be part of the security so that if someone pried off the plug it would break and then you couldn't start the car.but they dropped that system only they know why.
