1987 300E with 202,000 miles
In perfect running order. Had oil changes every three thousand miles for the last twenty years. I bought it from Enrique today. Took it to my smog tech and it passed right away. All we did was change the oil and it passed with the original cat. Amazing really. It has a new battery and decent brakes. It's arctic white and was professionally repainted recently. I think it was garaged it's entire life. It's a one owner car. The fit and finish is better, I think, than the E320. It's even better finish than the 1988 300CE I had.
I think the shocks and struts may be old or simply need some driving to get them charged again. They squeak. The steering box or wheel has some play. I can really feel it when braking quickly from higher speed. Wonder what it is exactly. Will take it in to Enrique tomorrow to see what it is. It does have some cheapo new tires. I think changing out the wheels would be good. Wolfgang serviced the transmission. All in all its a great old driver for cheap and it looks absolutely gorgeous. Thanks, Jason
