2000 S500 uneven level need help

Hi,
I just replaced my lower ball joints and lower control arms, due to squeaking sounds at my MB independent shop. When I picked up the car I did not notice the level. Once I parked the car in the garage, i noticed that the left side is 3" higher than the right side. Struts do not leak. It stayed like this position. When I press the button on the dash, only the left side rise up. Righ side remained at the same level. What is the problem could be? I will definitely bring back tomorrow, but I would like to understand the cause.
Thanks.

Each air strut has a sensor.
After repairs the vehicle should be aligned.
Alignment on that MODEL & most after 1996 include a check & re-setting of the ride height.
That is done with an "inclinometer" & MB SDS laptop.

Im experiencing a similar problem, where the squeaking sounds kind of like knocking noises?

Not really, It is like metal to metal grinding sound, especially when you go over a bump or turning the steering wheel. It can be heard at the lower part of front wheel. ( ask someone to turn the steering wheel while you are near the front wheel). If you prepare to change, do both side at the same time.
