Can't start my 1985 190e 2.3
I was driving along and water pump gave out. The system never maxed out the heat and quit running. I towed it over to a buddies house and replaced the water pump. Now the car want start. I look at the engine overload projection relay and it seems to be okay, ,any help would be appreciated.

Does your starter cranks? If it doesn't, you need to look at the small black box relay (I forgot the name of it, behind the battery), in front of Klima relay. It provides power to your starter. If your car cranks but will not start make sure the cold start valve (located between 3 & 4 at intake manifold, which has fuel line and wire to it) works. It is being powered by the Over Protection Relay (OVP), silver rectangular box, behind the battery. Check to make sure the 10-amp fuse is good. Try also to pour gas directly at the intake manifold. If it starts, then most likely all electrical systems work but you have a pressure problem. Good luck!
