I have both versions of the Topsider, both the blue gas-can style and the newer plastic green style.
If you are a diesel owner, you know how nasty used diesel oil is...what is the best way to clean the Topsider containers and more importantly, the hoses? I've swished Kerosene in the containers and that seems to work okay, but it never fails, the residual oil in the hoses always seem to leak out and make a mess in the garage. After changing the oil yesterday, I ran hot water and Dawn through the hose best I could and hung the hose inside the storage locker. It appeared to be about 50% clean. Checked it this morning and it still ran down the door and settled into a box of cetane boost...now THAT was fun to clean up.
