Are the NGK spark plugs copper core plugs with no resistance?

Depends. If it has an "R" in the part number or designation, it is a resistor plug. If it doesn't, then it most likely is not.

I should have simply asked ,Does NGK make a copper core spark plug?

Their V-Power plugs are copper. They are coated with another metal but the core is copper and they are very good alternates to the OE Bosch ones we use.

non-resistor plugs usually not available in North America for 300e anyway.Some sold on ebay from UK site,though

did anyone ever find a good source for the old plugs in NA? What about switching the plug wires to reflect the change in resistance of the spark plugs themselves?

What guys are doing now [ just b/c they have been forced to do it, mind you] ..is eliminating the resistor plug ends on the wires and subbing regular plug terminals on the wire ends and then using the resistor plugs...but you can not do that on the coil-over set-ups of the waste spark systems..
The trick is not to have R plugs with R connectors stacked on top of them....duh..

I have seen ads lately on Google where a company in Oregon is advertising to buy any Bosch non-resistors in bulk from anywhere/anyone who has any left in stock....
Just go NGK...better plug anyway................

Anyone got a source for NON resister style plugs... NGK or otherwise?

(5)even with the resistor NGK plugs TR5 readily available in NA,,I had no problem but I decided to switch back to non -resistor Bosch ,which was available from the UK before I found out that fastlane had them,but they were 2-3 times resistor plug price on fastlane.

You must be the 3rd guy to tell me the plugs on Fastlane are resistor plugs.

I remember the link that whunter posted with the sale on resistor plugs, but I couldn't find it either.

NGK BP6ES should be fine, and available at your local autozone etc

The NGK web site shows the following V plug as being the proper plug BKR5E for my car. Are we saying that using a resistor plug will work fine as a replacement for the non resistor plug?
