1995 S320 Oil Filter Housing
 

I wanted to try changing my own oil, but I don't know where the filter housing on my 1995 S320 is located or what I have to do to access it. Can anyone help talk me through getting to the oil filter and changing it?

Oil Filter Housing....
 

Your Oil Filter Housing is located on the Driver's side rear of the Engine Block, just in front of the Fire Wall. There will be a round ribbed housing that you will need to turn counter-clock wise to remove. Mercedes sell's the tool to remove it, or you can just buy a large ribbed oil filter wrench to loosen. Make sure you change the gasket along with the filter. Many times the old gaskets don't sit well when re-tightened.
