Sometimes it starts?

I have a 1985 500 sel. The problem is the car will start and runs fine, then when I go to start it again it just cranks. Its like a fuel cutoff(security?) I get fuel to the engine and spark but no start. After awhile it will start sometime a hour sometimes a day. It will start if I pour gas.Thanks for your help

Are you in an area with high heat and humidity? Almost sounds like vapor lock.

i'd start by checking fuel pressure (car running and rest pressure,) and volume.
