190 e 4 cyl, key will not turn and stearing wheel is locked up.
 

any one know what to do, my key will not turn the cylinder and the steering wheel is locked up. I did try jacking it up and moving the wheels, but no luck.
anyone have a similar problem?

If you can get the key to position 1, you can replace the tumbler. If you can't get the key to turn, you are in for an expensive repair.

This happens to all these cars this vintage.

You'll need a new ign switch and when you take your VIN and proof of ownership to a dealer he'll order you one with key that matches what you have now.

Then you can order one from the dealer. Sometimes the dealer has a loaner cylinder till your matched one arrives. Good Luck
