Old Doll 88 560 SEC

Hi all: I have an old doll 1988 jet black 560 Sec ..and I notice that the valves are sticking. At first I thought it was tranny trouble..but then I was told that it was sticky valves. The rpm every once in a while..goes upt to like 40,000 when it shouldn't be there..I have to stomp on the gas and she cuts back...I am certain there is no doubt a commercial product that will clear those valves..so she won't go up there on rpm's...
Anyone care to comment on which one to get...or should I just bring her back to my mechanic? Any good advice would be appreciated.
