Climate Control Wheel Replacement
My climate control wheel in my 87 560SL is looking pretty bad - the color is coming off - still works, but needs to be replaced....can you replace just the wheel or the whole unit?

I thought there was a replacement sticker that you can get for the wheel. Peel the old one off, clean the plastic, and stick the new one on. I think you can get your choice of either F° or C°.

I had this same problem only to discover that the original protective film was never removed! I peeled it off all the way, and now the wheel looks brand new. Or maybe that film was supposed to be permanent? Either way, it looks much better.
