What have I done? No turn signals

I had the instrument cluster out to try to fix the speedo, when I put it back together I had no turn signals. Everything else worked, headlights (hi and low) tail lights, wipers, all gauges, fogs. Everything but the turn signals. It acts like I am not even using the switch, they don't light, they don't click, nothing. They do light when the headlights are on. I'm sure I reconnected all the plugs on the back of the cluster. I have checked all the fuses, where else should I look? Flasher unit? If so where is it? Any help is appreciated.

first

first thing i do when the turn signals are completeld dead is turn on the emergency flashers.its a starting point,it uses the flasher relay and the turn signals share the contacts.
cycle it a few times.

Thanks for the advice Larry. The hazard switch in the car is shot but I have another I can switch it out of. I'll try that and report back.

Swapped the switch to a known good one and the hazards worked on all four corners. Now what? Is the turn signal relay bad? Where is it, behind the fusebox?

Last year my car did something very similar. When I would activate the turn signals nothing would happen, although unlike you my flashers would not work either. I traced the problem to the combination relay in the back of the fuse box. One of the pins had a crack in the solder. I soldered the bad connection and haven’t had a problem since. It may not be your problem but it’s worth checking.

most common reason why turn signals, mercedes tail lights, etc. won't work is a loose connections or a poor grounding. cross wired also. so check all connections, clear everything.. good luck mate:)
