Camshaft 500sel replacement

The right camshaft of my 500sel (1985) needs to be replaced. Can I replace it with any MB camshaft? I have 2 camshafts le & re. from a 1972 4.5l engine. Do they fit? Can camshafts be reground? The engine has 215k miles but is running fine except the ticking noise

that has recently developed.
Any suggestions?
