12v at pin 4 rd/wht at koeo right? or is it constant and pin #9 at the module right or at the connector
on last thing do you have a picture of the module? where is located under the dash drive side or how does it look.

No pics .. but I do have a schematic of the DM module circuit..It may be a lot easier to get that to you than for me to start telling you which pins to test and trace..a diagram is so much easier and it has all the terminal # and wire color codes to follow.

That would require an email addy so I could jpg it to an addy, but as you know from your first PM, I do not do private diagnostics anymore [ just had to stop b/c of the traffic] , so any post have to be done here..

I have to scan the schematic and then jpg it, so it will be tomorrow sometime.
As far as testing, you will see the fuse #9 in the schem. That will be your starting point for testing.. Just follow that up to the N59 and see if the power gets there. You will see better once it is in front of you.
Don't forget to read that post I did about the ovp..

lol, yeah cuz this car driving me crazy.
btw the Diagnostic module is located under dash driver side does it apply to both 1994 year model and 1995 year model?

Arthur Dalton 05-21-2007 02:19 PM

The N59 is under the dash, to the left of the steering column..
I did a post for you about the OVP relay feeding the CE circuit and asked if you has the old part#.
You may just want to check that before going into N59 schematic tracing..if the module is not unplugged or any wires pulled out to disable it, I would go look at thea ovp if I were you. It feeds the CEand thew N59 grounds the circuit...you will see that when I send the schematic..

hi, arthur
i checked the voltage for pin#4 i am getting 12v i checked by back probing it.
i am getting no voltage KOE0 at pi#9 which is brn/wht going to the CE Lamp.
would this indicate that module is bad i took it out and looked at the pins they looked rather dark or brown like burn out or something but doesnt smell like burnt.

usman21 05-21-2007 02:30 PM

i checked the dm and it was not disconnected and i checked the ovp and it has been replace with the new updated one and the all the pins pushed in.

Arthur Dalton 05-21-2007 02:34 PM

Ok

So, you now know you have power to the module and nobody has unplugged it to hide a CE lamp..that was my main concern
You will not get voltage at #9 That is the neg side of the CE lamp..you now want to go see about that ovp, as that is feed for the lamp..the ovp pin #7 is 12v feed for both the CE lamp and the ABS control module..so , that is where to look

Also , there is a CAN connector at N59 gr and wht wires [4 of them]..are they plugged in??? that is the communication cable that has shown a code.

i am so happy arthur you dont know how happy i am. i went back and look at the ovp i guess when someone had install that ovp they didnt plug it in properly. the pin #7 is the power to the ce lamp like you said was not plug into it was laying somewhere and found the connector and plug it back in and started the car and evertyhing works good abs/asr and ce lights came on and wen off after few seconds
thanks arthur for all you help.
