Insert Key,,, turn key to "On" ,,, Crank,,, fill in the blanks
I guess this thread could apply to virtually all Mercedes, but I'm referencing a 1988 190e 2.3
1) Insert key and turn to "On" not cranking yet,,, a) Idle Control Valve Opens b) Cold Start Valve is energized c)??? ,,, 2) Turn key to "Start" a) Both a and b from above remain energized b) Starter motor engages c) Engine starts d) fuel is injected by fuel injectors e),,,, Idle control valve ,,, h) Sensor determines engine warm enough to de-energize cold start valve 3) Pressing on Accelerator Pedal Air flow sensor opens causing fuel distributor to increase fuel flow Idle control valve de-energizes??? 4) Releasing Accelerator pedal Air Flow sensor,,, EHA,,, AS you could see, there are alot of blanks,,, it would be great to locate information concerning the theory behind these engines,,, if there is no such document available, please fill in the blanks,,, if there is,,, please point me in the right direction, as I haven't found it yet,,,
