Tool help - 65mm fan hub wrench
 

Hey everyone. I thought I was ordering the thin fan holding tool to keep the cooling fan from spinning on a 92 300E when removing the viscofan to change the serpentine belt. What I got in the mail was a 65mm "fan hub wrench" similiar to that pictured here:

Does anybody know what this tool does and how to use it? I have a pressing need to get the fan off and don't feel like eating the cost of a tool I will never use. Thanks!
