new repair manual on DVD
 

Hi every body,

I just received the so called repair DVD for my W203 (link

I was expecting to find the usual info as for the previous W124 repair manual on CD.

There is an autorun that launches the DVD. Am I doing something wrong when installing the DVD? Because I just dont find any drawing/ procedure for repairs, electrical drawings, etc.

Did anybody try theses new DVD's?

that isn't a repair manual, that is basically a technical introduction to the model. that cd is most useful to learn about the cars different systems.

for the W203 chassis?

Yes, that's the one to order. And it is only $60 & SH. i got mine 2 mos. ago and it has all the right info for W203.

Did you order it by calling at 1-800-FOR-MERCEDES (1-800-367-6372) ?

Could you tell me also whether the other dvd (part N° P-2700-203-06) covers also the diesel engines, my car is C220 CDI, coupe sport.

And which types of engines, should be like OMxxx

I think it only covers US models of W203, which are all gas engines. I got the DVD directly from MBUSA. Can you get the similar DVD in Europe?

I know the manuals cover US models but at least except small modif the rest is all the same (brakes, suspension, steering.....) and I can cope with differences. But here in Europe it is hardly possible to buy those manuals. I bought some years ago the one fot W124 and is perfect for my needs. That is why I would like to know if the NEw DVD cover diesel engines.

So I would be very greatfull to anybody who can give a glance to the content of the DVD if covers deisel engines before I waste money.
