My 92 500e has started to make a moaning noise from the power steering on startup. This lessens with warmup. I assume it is the pump, since the noise tracks with rpm. I have heard these cars eat p/s pumps.
Any thoughts from the experts, eg Benzmac, before I take it in to my shop? (Fluid level is of course normal. Hoses appear clean and dry) I have heard of a p/s hose upgrade but the archives do not seem to give details, anyone have a reference? Thanks [Edited by n2lw on 06-08-2001 at 10:59 PM]
