p0170& p0173

had got both codes a week ago did a search and found the mass air flow could be dirty
cleaned mass air sensor with brake fluid
worked for a week tonight again
check code s and also found long tern fuel trim at 27% on both banks
short term -2%
Intake manifold pressure one time 13in Hg and 10in HG last time
What I am asking is the mass air sensor going???
I could not find any vacuum leaks
I also checked fuel pressure lookd right on
replace fuel filter because it needed to be changed
Is ther any electrical checks to do on the mass air flow sensor???
The vechile is a 2000 sl500 56000 miles
any tips would be appreciated

Yes i did I read it in a forum no residue type
Did not make a difference
works for a while then I get same code with log term trim at 30%
The brake fluid is not the problem it may kill it but its not the cause
I cleaned it before with contact cleaner same thing
I just hope ots nt something else
i hate to be a parts changer
My friends wife had a enge light off intermittenly
The dealer changed the mass air sensor said they fail at 50,000
same codes

You got me good on that one
I guess hitting 55 you loose your mind
I should have used brake fluid on it
