1992 300e 2.6 Head Gasket help
I'm in the process of new head gasket for a 2.6 liter motor. I realize most of these W124 cars are 3.0 liters. Guy at auto parts store told me that the head gasket set for the 2.6 and the 3.0 are the same. That can't be right, is it? Unless they achieved displacement through same bore, but different stroke or something.

You need to find a NEW parts source...different part numbers for M103 2.6 & 3.0 engines...
82.9mm bore VS 88.5mm
