89 300te richness

89 300te runs super rich (black smoke) at start up. I have removed the return line from the regulator while running, and there is no fuel coming out...I have read several post where these cis-e cars are running rich but I can't find one with similar problems as mine... I have been driving this car for awhile, one afternoon while coming home it started to get rich and hasn't looked back since... I think the regulator has stopped up or is malfuctioning in some way, causing my fuel pressure to go sky high. Am I even close or is this the begining of a nightmare???

I have checked the fuses, I will be working on pressure this week. I just think if this car is going to cost much more I will be parking it and parting it. I have spent way to much on it in the last month. My diesel doesn't even ask for anything compared to this car...thnx will see what happens next...
