SLS on 1991 300TE 124
There is no flow of hydraulic fluid back into the reservoir on my 300TE.
Can the level control unit be rebuilt? Is there a seal kit? Can the tandem pump (power steering and power hydraulic oil) be rebuilt? Has anyone disassembled one to replace a broken shear pin for the hydraulic oil pump? Thanks, Dave |

And I spotted one on eBay Buy It Now $87. A rebuild would probably run $250 and I would worry about the quality of the work http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270175828756 these can be hard to find when you are in a position to actually need one

Try to buy a used working unit, ebay has them alot. You can get one from any MB car with a SLS because the pump is the same. IE 1986-87 190E 2.3-16v, 560SEC, SEL, or any 300TE. ANy year uses the same pump.
You can rebuild them, but mainly the seals, the vanes are not available as far as I have seen. If you do find them individually, let me know please.
