Brake fluid in Power Steering

Well, it happened, someone, who will remain nameless (whom I'm married to) topped up the power steering fluid in our 88 300E with brake fluid. After 3 days the complaint was, "The power steering fluid is empty and I just filled it, and by the way we are out of power steering fluid I had to use brake fluid." Sigh.

The pump is leaking from the front shaft seal and I have used pump coming.

So.. other than flushing the system and installing the new pump.. What do you guys think might have been damaged other than the pump?

Thanx in advance.

Bill

p.s. I just did the head gasket job on my m104 motor a couple of weeks ago.. It was a breeze. Joy to work on.
