Any Way to Test Speedo Speed Sender ??
 

My 87 300D has non working cruise. Ive replaced / checked everything, still no cruise. Im thinking maybe its the speed sender on back of speedo.

Is there any way to test the speed wire input at the cruise amp to make sure its working ?

Just a thought,.....are your brakelights working?
On the newer cars, no brakelights = no cruise. ;)

yes, everything seems to work. but no cruise...

can someone advise me if the factory radio was removed and the little green speed wire is left disconnected, would this affect cruise ?

Ive got a green speed wire hanging behind cluster with a single female pin on it. I think at one time it went to radio but that radio is long gone.

Ive checked every pin on the cruise amp and manually jumped the actuator. It all seems normal, just no cruise. Is there a fuse somewhere? Although I get +12v at cruise amp pin so its gettin pwr. Just isnt doing anything... :(

This is an 87 300D turbo. Any help is greatly appreciated.
