C208/W210 - M113 - which is 'better'?
I'm looking at replacing my 94 E320 with a newer car and the two cars that I've narrowed it down to are the 01 - 02 E430 and/or CLK430 (coupe not cabriolet).
Any comments on the reliability/ride/quality of these two? I know the C208 is based on the W202 platform. I am also aware of the spring perch issues with the W210 as well as the pixel problems that can occur with both instrument clusters. Any other things to watch out for on these two? My main concerns: 1. Which is easier to DIY - I would guess they are about the same, especially given the same engine. 2. Which is a more comfortable/luxurious ride on the highway - I'm really only concerned about the 2 in the front as we rarely have 4 ppl. 3. Given the same mileage history will one be cheaper to own than the other? Thanks!

With the same engine and transmission, I suppose these would be the same DIY-wise.
I've ridden in CLK's, and I guess the ride is slightly stiffer. The E class ride is also slightly smoother due to the longer wheelbase. Other than the chassis, since these cars are nearly identical, I reckon the cost of ownership would be identical.
