Rear bumper assy
 

1999 500 SL....The rear bumper top side is sliding out of the groove in the body, which I guess the problem is the inner bumper is seperating from the outer shell.
Question...How do you remove the bumper assy. from the car? When it is removed can you now see the inner nut-washers that hold the inner support to the outer bumper? What special tools are need to remove the assy?
If there are other removals prior to the removal of the bumper how is that accomplished? Your help and answers will greatly appreciated!!!
I went to the Benz dealer Fletcher Jones, and the manager of the body shop had no idea how to remove the bumper!
