560sel won't stay running
 

1990 560sel switched out the becker radio with a new sony and now every few days i blow the #5 fuse and it won't start. changed the fuse today and it still won't start. so what in the heck is going on. this car has too many gremlins i am getting close to those dredded words SELL!

one of the things controlled by fuse 5 is electronic engine controls.did you connect radio to some other connection other than the original wires for the becker?

Sounds like an issue you caused in the wiring of the radio.

Start by pulling out the junk headunit and rechecking everything.

Do you have ignition on the coil while starting the car?

what we did was run new wires for the sony radio . every time i crank the car it bolws #5 fuse. then i have to take the negative post off the battery re attach it then replace the fuse it will start but it is going to not start again once you shut it off.
