Outside LCD Temp Display
I have been reading the archives here and wanted to narrow down what I am searching for. I am 90% sure that I am facing a faulty temp sensor but I have one more question.
My automobile is an '87 300SDL. The LCD will function at times but I know it is an improper reading. Sometimes it will function and it would have to be close to the actual temperature outside. Sometimes it will not function at all. It illuminates as it should when using the driving lights and will fade in and out. This fading in and out happens daytime and nighttime. Is this typical of a bad sensor located behind the front license plate holder?
