I have read the previous threads and responses about how to unlatch a hood that will not cooperate. First of all, I caused the problem when I put the plate over the radiator. There is absolutely no tension when the handle on the inside of the car is pulled. There is incredible tension on the outside when I pull the tab. I can pull it out abount an inch now and still no pop. I have used a screwdriver and pushed up from underneath on the lever and still no pop. It seems as though I tightened the plate so much it has pinched the cable. Does anybody have any advice? Do I need to go ahead and break the cable? I do not believe it is broken at this point.
