innnnteresting.

but, and it doesn't look like they make the necessary viewer software for Macintosh/Apple operating systems, which what I've got...

also, i can't tell from that site what's really offered:
will i be provided with the MANUFACTURER'S part number/cross reference, OR ONLY THE MERCEDES PART NUMBER like they have at the dealership?

the latter doesn't really help me...

anyone?

yeah, that doesn't really do it for me, b/c it just tells the MB part number, which non-dealership parts sources can't make heads or tales of...

hmmph.

GOT THE PART NUMBER, but it's NON-EXISTENT!

drove all the way out to where the 250 is parked this morning, and checked the distributor part number personally, but now I CAN'T FIND REFERENCE / AVAILABILITY ANYWHERE! THE SAGA CONTINUES!

it's a Bosch number, (i think) (has a funny little "H" looking logo inside a couple circles) and then reads "0237016005". Haven't been able to find ANY cross-reference or availability anywhere. Can you?

there's also a Mercedes symbol, and then the number "0031581701", which which also comes up totally blank.

anybody?
know which cap and rotor would fit this sucker?

Answer:

My price list says:

Distributor MB# 0031581701

Distributor cap MB# 0001584002

Rotor MB# 0001583331

I will need to check availability on these through Germany.

well, sir!
called a local parts place, and said those mercedes part numbers translated to:
bosch cap # 1235522318 ($47) and bosch rotor # 1234332271 ($8).
if anybody can confirm, that'd be GREAT! we'll be starting what's apparently the ONLY U.S. reference for Mercedes 250 parts!
