Broken Odometer in Toronto!
 

Is there anyone in the Toronto area that can fix an odometer for an 82 240d?

I have had it out of the car twice. Read the posts on this site and the instuctions by Diesel DR. about fixing it. I have decided that someone else should do this job.

It appears that the trip odometer is the likely cause of my problems. But I am not 100% sure.

I am in the Toronto area so if anyone would like to take a crack at fixing this thing please let me know.

Try Andy at Clarkson Fine Cars (who I use.. tell him Neal Bhatt sent you) or Charlie McNally (search this forum for his contact info). If anyone can repair it, they should be able to.

I'm not sure it will be cheap though.. have you considered just buying another one? I know you can't get one from the US (since it will be in miles) but I've found the German ones are exactly the same and are in KM.

Perhaps you could buy this unit and swap out your odometer?
