1998 S320 Hard shifting

Working on a 1998 S320 SWB W/722.6 Transmission. Car has 149,000 miles. Are there any adjustments for harsh shifting? Looked for vacuum modulator like ones on earlier models cannot find it. Are there any fixes?

all electronic. 5speed auto is not vaccuum-modulated. Probably should check codes first, also do a search for 722.6 hard shifting/shifting. I know thuis has beentalked about a lot

those trans have a serious issue with dirt blocking YES BLOCKING up the filter.as said before check atf level and seriously consider doing a service of fluid filter and pan gasket.take old filter and break it open, you will be surprised at what you find.
