88 190e intermittent turn signals????

Hi All, this old pick up man just bought his first MB and it rides really nice. Just having a little problem with the turn signals and hoped someone else has some experience and advise to share. One day they work fine and the next nothing. The wipes work fine and the old owner has replaced all the bulbs..... I have really no experience with europiean car alway Detroit iron. Any ideas would be appreciated..

As looking for some used chrome 15 hole stock wheels. Three out of the four on the car were alloy and one chrome. I haven't been able to find out if the chrome wheel was stock on a particular model or an option.

Thanks Bob

Hazard Switch

The turn signals route through the Red Hazard switch. If it goes you loose your singnals.

You most likely have terminals in the switch that are not making good contact. To test, rapidly flick the switch back and forth a dozen times next time the signals quit. If they start working, then this is your problems.

The switch can be taken apart and the contacts inside can be sanded lightly with sand paper.

I had an idea were to start but I was thinking domestic. I guess I'll have to start drinking that German beer. I'll try that next time it quits. Thanks for answering the new guy. It looks like you just joined too and bring lots of experience with you.
