Auxilary fan

My 1994 s320 auxilary fan (pass side) has become very loud. It turns freely and smoothly by hand but very loud when power kicks in. Is it a worthwhile rebuildable part or a R/R with new fan. There are two fans....are they individually replaceable or does the whole (pair) assembly have to be replaced . Could it be a DIY task.

As far as I know, they are individually replaceable. Less than $150 ea. or find one at a junk yard.
They might even have a used one here - ask Roy (click on the buy parts link above - you'll find him)
