Questions about interchaneable parts: Mercedes 190E vs. 190E 16V

Hello, I am currently looking at a 84 Mercedes 190E 16V. I am wondering if anyone can tell me if the parts this car needs are interchangeable from a standard 190E or 201 car. First, does anyone know if the a/c compressor and condensor are the same? The blower motor for heating/cooling? The windshield wiper? The dash pad? These are the things the car needs and if the parts are not interchangeable it could be extremely hard to find and will help me decide whether or not I will buy the car.

Thanks.

The computer didn't seem to have the information on that year available? Does anyone have any ideas?

As far as I am aware, the compressors are not the same due to the fact that the 16v reves much higher than the standard 190.

With my experience with my 16V, most drive train parts are unique to the 16V. The steering box is unique, trans, ...and the list goes on. Everytime I need a part from MB, it is always .. "it will be a few day, we need to special order it from MB in Germany". It's a PIA but damn I love my car.

You will find most body parts that you mention will be interchangeable, big difference will only lie in major engine components like the cylinder head - most mercs of the 124 and 201 generation will also use similar a/c components, suspension components etc.

The compressor would have to be from the dual belt, pre-1985 model year cars. It uses a GM compressor, mounted on the exhaust side of the motor, unlike the later models that have it mounted under the power steering pump.

The blower motor for heating/cooling?
The blower (and the HVAC system) for that year is specific to the Euro spec cars, not the US versions.

The windshield wiper?
Again, it uses the pre-85 monowiper, which has two separate rubber blades.

The dash pad?
Same as all other W201
