560sel no headlights

got a situation 1990 560sel all of a sudden no headlights. all fuses look good, so what do i check?

Probably the multi switch located on the steering column. Wiggle & giggle it to see if it makes the lights come on. If so its time to replace it.

what is considered the multi switch? is that where the wipers and bright lights are?

Also check the light bulbs. As crazy as it sounds, once, both of my headlight light-bulbs went at the same time. Seemed impossible for me, and I looked everywhere except the bulbs themselves, but then when everything else has been eliminated I took the tester and tried the bulbs "just in case." Lo and behold.... I guess I had some sort of power surge that killed them both at once...

the power for the lights goes thru the big bulb monitor relay in the fuse box.see if it's loose or tap on it.

where is the bulb monitor relay? i have no dash lights or tail lights the blinkers work on the inside of the car but not the outside.

in the fuse box,big long rectangular relay.the power for lights originates from the switch on the dash and thence to fuses and then to light bulb monitor relay and then to light bulbs.
