R129 500SL 1990 '90 no air at all
 

Hello to all and thank you in advance to any who take the time to reply. I have a 1990 500SL. I bought the car about a year ago. This post is about a problem with the AC.

When I try turn on the A/C I get nothing -- I don't mean that I don't get cold air. I mean I don't get any air at all. It is entirely possible that there is no freon in the car. Also, I have a leak in the exhaust manifold and the car sometimes exceeds (not by much) 80 celsius. It's weird, but sometimes I get smoke coming from below the car (maybe this is an exhaust issue?).

Any ideas about the cause of the lack of air would be greatly appreciated.
