Hi, wat is most popular problem with not oppening soft top on thise car? I pres buton and is flashing by pulse and top is not mowing....Please help....

Could you be a bit more specific as to the issue? Do the windows roll down when you engage the top operation? Does any other switch on the console flash along with the top open switch?

Don't know how long you've owned the car, but the top will not open if the trunk is opened or the canopy compartment in the trunk is not shut.

Hi,window going down and only switch from soft top flasching during the opening position...no rest switches flasched.....

Rear headrests have to be in the down position also.

When you release the top lock, the canopy has to be raised just past your head before the automatic operation will engage...

Hi, yes I make thise performance and stil is nothing ...is not reised up???and automatic dont take over.....nothing is happening??

Only other item not specified is trunk lid closed. Beyond that, a technician will have to solve your problem.

Mine died a few months ago. Tech found a burnt motor...unfortunately, integrated with the hydraulic pump ($1200) + labor. Not a cheap fix!

I don't know if this car is new to you or not so I'll go ahead and ask a dumb question: Have you properly extended the trunk partitioning "shade" into its slot to prevent the top from contacting luggage? Mark

is the roll bar up or down? this system will store codes and until they are cleared it will not operate.for instance,there is a sensor in the front and back windows on each side that lets compu know if windows are down one of those out and system stops[don't want to break glass]

So as not to add to the confusion, for the CLK, that would be the rear headrests...they need to be in the retracted position. However, the headrest switch light flashes if that is what is preventing the top down operation.

You sounded interested in helping this guy, so I'll resurrect this thread!

My top suddenly won't "pop-up" when the canopy is released and binds in opening unless I give a push to start the first section folding. Upon closing, everything works fine except the top comes down and the clips hit the lock tabs, this never happened before as they would stop an inch or so above the lock tabs. Everything else about the operation, windows, hatch etc. seems to be fine. Any ideas? I will check the hydrolic fluid but I really think it may be something else. Ideas for what to check are appreciated!

I have the same problem on my clk-it doesn't raise once unlocked, and it slaps down. I was told the cables went bad and its an expensive fix. So far I have decided to live with it.
