Price for brake pads and oil change?

Went in to see Enrique and he had Carlos change the oil and replace the front pads. Anybody want to guess what he charged me?

Very funny. No, less than that. In fact, a couple hundred less than that. I was just looking for actual MB brake pad prices. Since the job was done correctly and quickly I can afford to pay for those services. I think that I've just answered my own question though.

Wow! How do you guys charge so little and make money?!! I'd spend about that much buying just oil and brake pads and doing it myself!

Not really sure what your question or point is??? You didn't specify the brand of oil, filter and brake pads. Also, what was the condition of the rotors? Did he replace the front pad sensors? How does your question/statement help us on this forum?

Man, I'd get back into the business if I could line up brake jobs 10 hours per day. That's easy money. Especially on a Benz.

Pads = about $50
Filter and oil = about $20
Gross Profit- $115 for less than an hour's worth of work.

Give me a small garage, 2 in-floor lifts, and two cars for brakes at all times. That would be sweet.

PENNZOIL is the oil used.

Filter was the black one in the green and yellow box, MANN perhaps? I don't remember the brand off-hand. Perhaps it equals Original Equipment.

MERCEDES is what it said on the box the pads came in.

The sensors are replaced every time the front pads are replaced. I believe this is standard practice.

The rotors are in great shape because only MERCEDES pads are used.

I think my "question/statement" helps on the forum to determine what it costs at the indy for front pads and an oil change. I'm not sure how my query could be construed any other way. Thanks for the help though.

For what it's worth, I paid $160. Fair enough in my book. The job was performed quickly and correctly. The old 124 is stopping like it should and the motor really likes fresh oil.
