On my 1991 126, the rod that transfers torque from the motor drive side of the passenger seatback sheared at the square face insert.
I removed it and continued to use the seat while waiting to get a new rod. Just got the rod in. After I get inside the seat back again, is there a motor centering, justification or alignment process to align the two sides of the seat back so they start at the same relative position?
