124.032 Wiring Harness
 

I've been chasing a performance issue for two years. Bad idle and hestitation issues on acceleration. Replaced coils packs, plugs, OVP relay, Mass air (twice) with no major help. No trouble lights on...no codes in the computer.

New mechanic says the engine wiring harness is bad and causing the problems.

Make sense? Any experiences?

It depends - if it's original it's almost certainly faulty, if not it's almost certainly not. Try a search above.

If your wiring harness hasn't been replaced by now, then it needs to be whether it's the cause or not. If you're going to keep the car, then you ought to do this and see if it works - you needed to do it anyway.

I paid $650 installed for mine - harness came from MB.
