not a clue

Being a new owner of a 1988 300SE, i noticed i cylindrical device near the passinger side axle, and it make a noise every time i turn the key like it is actuating, please don't hurt yourselves laughing, but, what is this??:book:

Ok, I'm laughing. Not hurting, just laughing. No really most likely it's the fuel pump.

I agree with it most likely being the fuel pump.

btw... go to the user control panel and under signature, add the fact that you have a 300SE ('88 I think, I read).
